Brendan Handler is a media executive, producer, and strategic advisor working at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and emerging entertainment platforms.
Earlier in his career, he held strategy and business development leadership roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he helped guide the company’s transition toward digital and platform-driven distribution. During this period, he developed data-driven commercial strategy frameworks and led initiatives that generated hundreds of millions in revenue across new distribution channels. He helped establish new analytics capabilities that informed global release and pricing strategies.
He later joined 20th Century Fox, where he helped launch the Fox Innovation Lab and ultimately led the FoxNext VR Studio, developing new approaches to immersive storytelling and interactive media. During this time, he produced and supported a range of projects, including The Martian VR Experience, Alien Covenant: In Utero, and Isle of Dogs: Behind the Scenes in Virtual Reality, helping position the studio at the forefront of emerging media experimentation.
Most recently, Brendan served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Moth+Flame, an immersive training company. In that role, he led a comprehensive operational and financial turnaround that doubled revenue, secured more than $10M in financing, and restructured the organization to support sustainable growth while expanding the company’s focus on Department of Defense training programs.
